Photographers don’t get this opportunity very often. Most of our clients start out as strangers, a friend of a friend of a friend. Sure, they become our friends eventually once we work together, but rarely do you know the person very well before you meet with them, if at all. In the case of Dustin and Katie, this was completely the opposite. I have known Dustin since he was in diapers, and I was running around our cul-de-sac causing trouble, luring him across the street much to the disdain of his parents, who love to remind me of what an evil young boy I was.
But we grew up as neighbors for many many years, and it is truly an honor to be able to photograph his wedding later this fall. For our engagement shoot, we headed down to the haute little enclave of La Jolla, where he and fiance Katie showed me exactly what love is supposed to look like! Thanks you guys, and can’t wait for the wedding! There’s going to be a kids table, just for posterity’s sake, right?
