It’s not everyday that you get to shoot a wedding for the former “kid across the street”, whose house you spent years at, playing video games, climbing the tree house, and generally causing trouble. You always see the little boy, until you realize he has grown into a man, someone who has found an amazing woman to share his life with. Such was the case a few weeks ago as Erinn and I had the distinct pleasure of shooting the wedding of Dustin and Katie on a beautiful autumn day at the Lomas Santa Fe Country Club in Del Mar, just north of San Diego. Spending the day with people I have literally known my entire life was an incredible experience. Thank you two for asking us to play such an important role in your happiest of days, and we can’t wait to see what family memories you have yet to create!

Of course we had to take a spin in Dustin’s restored Mustang convertible, a labor of love with his father that has spanned several long years.jpg)
Dustin’s dad built this wedding arch, out of stained glass and welded steel, as a surprise wedding gift. It was an incredible piece of art!.jpg)

Absolutely perfect, buttery light greeted us after the ceremony, and we got some amazing shots with the bride and groom literally minutes before the fog rolled in.jpg)

It wouldn’t be a real party unless there was a dance-off, and a little cake smashing!.jpg)
