Justin + Ashley :: A Salton Sea Engagement

It is truly amazing how one can find love, and beauty, in the most unlikely of places.  For Justin and Ashley, they decided they were going to seek out this beauty in one of the most forgotten locations on Earth, the Salton Sea.  Long ago it was a mecca for Hollywood elite, but as the sea itself dried up, so did the visitors.  All that is left are memories, and remnants of a bustling and lively past.  Abandoned homes line the streets, businesses remain long after the last customer walked through the doors, and what was left of life here in the desert southeast of Palm Springs lies buried in mud and salt.  But somehow, Justin and Ashley brought us back to one of our favorite locations of all, to inject life back into the region.  Ashley’s incessant smiling radiated like the sun overhead, and as we explored some of the wildest locations anywhere, such as the famed Salvation Mountain, you could tell that, even in a place long left to Mother Nature’s wrath, beauty was all around us.  We hope you enjoy these images, and we cannot wait to shoot Justin and Ashley’s wedding later this summer at the Ragged Point Inn in San Simeon!
