Pinterest has redefined the wedding industry in many ways, and has opened up new lines of communication between couples and photographers. Now couples have a way to share their vision with their vendors, and photographers can share their style.
While Pinterest is the perfect way to gather ideas and help plan your wedding, brides do need to keep a realistic eye when working with her photographer. We love seeing your ideas and getting a little into your mind to see where you are going, but we also do not want to disappoint! Understand that your wedding will be completely unique and different from every other wedding out there; from the venue to the time of day to the schedule of events, many factors will go into your wedding day and affect your photos. While Pinterest is a great tool to use to get an overall feel for what you like, you should not use it as a “shot list” for the day. Many images will be physically impossible to recreate or emulate due to location, time of day, etc. Some images may be done in a style that is not what we specialize in. And we want to create moments and photographs based off of our eye and our experience from over ten years of wedding photography. You have hired us for what you have seen on our site, our style, our personality. If you just want a photographer to recreate exactly images you’ve found off of Pinterest or other social sites, we might not be the best fit for your wedding.
One of our favorite things is to create custom Pinterest boards just for you. One of the best ways is to create a custom board to give you engagement session ideas for wardrobe and accessories. Depending on the location you are considering for your engagement session, we can research that style and put together a custom Pinterest board for you!
If you are looking for ideas and inspiration for your own wedding, check out one of our boards below! Happy pinning and we cannot wait to see what you come up with on your wedding day! We’ll be sure to capture every amazing detail.
